State Educational Institution "Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic Center for Vocational Education"

   For fifty-five years, the staff of the State Educational Institution "Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic Center for Vocational Education" has been working fruitfully to solve the problem of training qualified specialists.

  The State Educational Institution "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Centre for Vocational Education" provides educational services in the field of vocational and professional higher education.For 56 years, it has been and continues to be a base for training skilled workers and professional junior bachelors for industrial enterprises in the Zaporizhzhia region. During this time, the educational institution has trained more than 17 thousand specialists.As of today, the main employers of personnel are powerful industrial enterprises of Zaporizhzhia, namely:  PJSC "Zaporizhstal"(ПАТ «Запоріжсталь»), PJSC "Zaporozhogneupor" (ПрАТ «Запоріжвогнетрив»), PJSC "Zaporozhkoks" (ПрАТ «Запоріжкокс») , PJSC "Dneprospetsstal" (ПрАТ «Дніпроспецсталь»), LLC "Zaporizhzhia Titanium and Magnesium Plant" (ТОВ «Запорізький титано-магнієвий комбінат»), LLC "Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant" (ТОВ «Запорізький ливарно-механічний завод») and others.As of 01 January 2024, 453 students are enrolled in the SEI “ZPCFVE” in the 7 most popular professions in the Zaporizhzhia region (electric and gas welder; electric welder on automatic and semi-automatic machines; electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment; crane operator in metallurgical production; repairman; cook; confectioner) and 3 educational and professional programmes of higher education (welding production; installation and operation of electrical equipment of enterprises and civil structures; food production).

   The institution works closely with all customers of workers in the modernization of educational facilities, professional development of teachers, the introduction of a dual form of vocational education.

   As a result of implementing the dual form of education, our institution received a Diploma of III degrees at the Tenth International Exhibition "Modern Educational Institutions - 2019".

   Within the Tenth International Exhibition "Modern Educational Institutions - 2019" framework, Zaporizhzhya PCPTO received the well-deserved award - Grand Prix Leader of Vocational (Technical) Education of Ukraine.

   Over the last five years, the logistics of the educational process have been updated by almost 80%. There are two computer classes, a powerful Internet system, WI-FI branch covers two buildings. Eleven multimedia (interactive) complexes have been purchased and successfully used. Each classroom is equipped with computer equipment.

   Today there are three educational and practical centers in Zaporizhzhya PCPTO:

Innovative welding technologies (2018 opening);

Innovative electrical technologies (2019 opening);

Innovative technologies of metallurgical production (2020 opening).

   Based on training and practical centers are internships, advanced training, and retraining of individuals and legal entities in the professions "Electric gas welder", "Electric welder on automatic and semi-automatic machines", "Crane operator of metallurgical production", "Electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment".

   Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic School has been cooperating closely with Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic National University for more than 25 years. Under the cooperation agreement, teachers are being trained, working skills are being provided to students and teachers of the university, the material and technical base and teaching staff are being used, and most importantly, since 1997 junior specialists (professional junior bachelors) have been successfully trained.

   The modern educational and material base, the level of professional training of pedagogical workers, the organizational experience of the school management allow to hold competitions of professional skills of all levels in the institution. According to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the second (final) stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of professional skills "WorldSkils Ukraine" (2020) in three competencies: "welding", "bricklaying", "operation and maintenance of railway transport" was based on our educational institution.

   Students of the institution also constantly take part in such competitions, occupying worthy places. The regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of professional skills "WorldSkils Ukraine" (2020) in the competence of "lifting and carrying loads" student of the institution Kryvtsov Kiril took second place, in the competence of "electrical work" student Mosherenkov Dmitry took first place.

   Zaporizhzhya PCPTO is an active participant in competitions of social projects in Zaporizhia "We are a city".

   In 2019, the institution became the winner of two projects. The Power of the Sun project received a grant certificate in the amount of UAH 100,000 for installing solar panels on the roof of the building. The complex is mounted, successfully works, producing solar electricity with a capacity of 4 kW / h. and providing energy to six classrooms.

   The second project - "Center for Healthy Lifestyle" received a grant certificate in the amount of 85 thousand UAH. to create a sports and recreation complex of a healthy lifestyle on the basis of gyms. The purpose of creating the complex was to involve the youth of the Zavodsky district in sports, a healthy lifestyle, to wean them off from bad habits. The Healthy Lifestyle Center has become a favorite of local schoolchildren, alumni and, of course, its students.

   The teaching staff of the SEI “ZPCFVE” consists of 53 people, including: Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster for Educational and Production Work, Deputy Headmaster for Educational Work, Senior Workmaster, 2 methodologists, social pedagogue, head of the club, 16 masters of industrial training and 29 teachers, including: 14 people working part-time.
